We are travelling to Las Vegas at the end of August planning to stay 3/4 nights then hiring a car and travelling to the Grand Canyon staying for 2 nights. We are then going to travel back to Las Vegas as my son is going to fly back home and we are going to fly on to Los Angeles, hire a care and travel up to San Francisco. I thought it would be a good idea, as it is a long trip from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas to break it up with a stay over in the Las Vegas area, near to the airport, or within easy reach so we don%26#39;t have the worry of rushing to catch a plane the next day. Didn%26#39;t really want to go back to the centre of Las Vegas again. Can anyone suggest anywhere thats not too far away from the airport but nice for a nights stay.

Las Vegas - Grand Canyon - Las Vegas
As you are posting this in the Boulder City forum, we stayed in Boulder City at the Best Western Lighthouse Inn and resort which was fine. Balcony rooms and some have a view on Lake Mead. Short drive to McCarren but it can be busy in the morning. Maybe better stay closer to the a/p but put a question for that on the Las Vegas forum.
