Route from LV to Lake Mead and on to VOF

When we visit in Mar, we%26#39;d like to visit the VOF. In reading some of the comments on here, we thought it might be nice to also visit Lake Mead. We saw part of Lake Mead last year when we went to Hoover Dam.

Can someone tell me the best route from LV (Southpoint) to Lake Mead and then on to the VOF? How long a drive would it be?

Also, will we going past the part of Lake Mead that has the boat rides available?
