Yes I read the posts for rx on carryons, but as I am going on my ';maiden voyage'; on the 30th, was wondering about powdered.to be exact(Benefibre) the container is 340 gram whatever that is in American lol .Need to take my fibre!!!! but it isn%26#39;t a perscription, can I take it carryon or do I have to find a smaller container?

Put in a quart size ziploc bag and you%26#39;l be fine, only bring in a package of 3 ounces or less.

I took baby powder in my carry on and they looked at it, but let me thru. Powder is allowed.

Are you also going to check a bag? Just put it in there...if for any reason your luggage would get lost, there are Walgreens and CVS stores all over Vegas where you could buy another bottle.

They are more concerned about liquids and gels. I%26#39;ve been able to bring my loose powder makeup in my carry on bag without having to separate it since the new restrictions were imposed in 2006 seversl times to Vegas and twice through Heathrow where they are more (understandably) more anal about this rule than any other airport in the world.

It%26#39;s not a narcotic and it%26#39;s not a liquid or gel. You should have no problem with the powdered Benefibre if it%26#39;s in its original container. Just put it in your carry-on bag and send it through x-ray. I haven%26#39;t had any trouble.

The restrictions on stuff are basically liquid and gel items. ie- A person could take powder foundation but not a cream foundation if over 100ml/3oz.

Coming from Canada, this website might be helpful. It%26#39;s the Canadian version of the US%26#39;s TSA. I%26#39;d found a list like this on the TSA%26#39;s site before but can%26#39;t find the page now.
