Prez Weekend?

So my Mom just called and informed me that the timeshare week (starting Prez Day weekend!) she booked for me to use was canceled because she didn%26#39;t follow one of the many transfer rules. Wife and I have plane tix but now have to find lodging or cancel the whole trip. Trouble is, all the properties I%26#39;ve looked at are mucho $ for that weekend, 2/14-16.

Any ideas? I looked at Hotwire and got $106 per night for 4 star, center strip. How do I know what place it is?

ever think it was a lil higher due to that being Valentines weekend?! lots of weddings and celebrations that weekend... I leave feb 17th we didnt want to have to pay more for that weekend but still will be fine celebrating vday few days later in vegas

You should be able to find some deals on hotels. I am going that week (comped for 3 nights), but I have seen some good deals. Also lots of show discounts for that week.

You know what, I did not check the dates, it is the weekend, I will be there during the week following valentine%26#39;s day...sorry I was thinking President%26#39;s week.

got home and had an email special offer from Monte Carlo that averages $91 a night for 5 nights. includes some freebies, 2 drinks, 2 buffets, $10 freeplay.

any thoughts on MC and the price?
