We are diamond HET players but how does MGM rewards work?

I can%26#39;t log in right now as I can%26#39;t get my MGM players card to see how many points we have but how many does a person need to qualify for comped rooms at the Mirage? We always stay at Flamingo or Caesars and wouldn%26#39;t mind staying at Mirage so we played a bit more at MGM properties but not sure what we could qualify for? Any help would be appreciated thanks so much :-)

They have different points required for each property. I want to say it is around 3800 a day for free rooms at Mirage but I may be wrong. If you call casino marketing at Mirage they will be able to tell you if there are any offers for you. They can look up your card for you and you could be surprised that you have offers.

With MGM/Mirage properties prior to checking out always go to the Players Club desk or speak to a host to see what they will comp off from that stay. Always charge meals back to the room from all MGM/Mirage properties. I have noticed that they do not always stick to their ';points'; needed and sometimes will just comp things randomly.

There have been a couple of really good discussions on the difference between the two programs here in the past couple of days. Sorry i don%26#39;t know to to ';link'; the thread. Definetly call casino marketing at Mirage and see what offers they have available. If you click on my posts, you%26#39;ll see some relevant threads discussing the pros and cons of the two programs.

My Mirage Host said they want to see about 18K points per trip to do RFB (room, food and beverage). For room comps only, I would say the previous figure would be correct.

Mirage does require more points for comps than MGM Grand, NYNY, Monte Carlo and the other sister properties.

With Bellagio being higher than Mirage.

I was just checking the ';new'; MGM site, and it did list my offers and says that they have online reservations, but I sure couldn%26#39;t get into any of them online. It would say ';call MGM marketing #';. Few of them actually said what the offer was even! Not as user friendly as Harrah%26#39;s!

Ive never been able to book online reservations using offers posted under my account. And, when I email any of the properties about what this offer includes or exactly WHAT is the offer they dont answer emails. It requires a call each and every time.

Understanding their point system is a huge mystery, it is not clear cut to what those points entitle you to, and when You ask, its like we plan on keeping it a secret, lol. I just always get the standard answer, we will check your play at the end of your stay. I finally cornered that Mirage Host after about 2-3 emails, and got the answer about RFB points required.

Its been my experience that if You book an offer that comes with rooms or free play, etc, that basically is what you will get, and no more.
