We have comped rooms(MGM)-anything that I need to know??

we have recently received comped rooms at mgm grand.

we have booked and tacked on a few extra days.

They did not take our credit card info(?) telling us that we pay at the end of our stay.

Has anyone had this experience before? Is this the norm?

Is there anything I should know about comped rooms,in general, or at the MGM?

Advise greatly appreciated.

I%26#39;ll take a stab at this but I%26#39;m not 100% sure. But because no one has answered I%26#39;ll at least bump this back to where others who do know might help.

If MGM is comping you they already have a lot of your info. What they%26#39;ll do is take your credit card when you check in to cover the incidentals. I%26#39;m pretty sure this is how it%26#39;s worked for me. (I suffer from CRS)

Depending on your personal preferences, for me, I%26#39;d make sure it%26#39;s at least a Grand Tower room. 100sf larger than a West Wing room. Also in this economy, sometimes you can score very good priced upgrades all the way to a Celebrity Spa Suite.

Just stayed at the MGM in May and December - both comped. They didn%26#39;t take my credit card info at the time [which I thought was strange also].

Stayed in the Grand Tower rooms [which were great and very comfy] -- no problems at checkout - zero charges!! Have fun and ENJOY!

Low gave you all the right answers. I wouldn%26#39;t expect to get any of your additional nights comped, though. Although MGM has been giving us three nights in a Bungalow Suite with comped meals at the buffet and cafe, they have consistently refused to give us any additional days comped beyond the first three. Even so, it%26#39;s a great deal and MGM has pretty much become our primary home in Vegas.

When you book a stay with MGM casino marketing, they do not take cc info over the phone even though your reservation includes some comp nights and some nights at casino rate. Other casino marketing groups for other properties, even those within the MGM Mirage family network, take you cc info. over the phone, but they don%26#39;t charge anything (e.g., one night%26#39;s deposit) - its only used in case you don%26#39;t cancel within their required period or pull a no show (based on terms and conditions of the offer). I definitely recommend a grand tower room.....enjoy your trip!

Exactly what U2 said the CC thing is different throughout the MGM props. In December I stayed at Mirage, Bellagio and MGM and the only one who asked for CC when I called was Mirage. I have stayed at TI many times and they have never requested it either.

Make sure you ask for a room in Grand Tower close to the elevator. The hallways are super long and unless you want to add on to your daily walk you won%26#39;t be wanting to walk a mile to the room.
