After readng all the reviews fr this show I was hesitant to see it,BUT I thought what the heck, I%26#39;ve read bt was the WORST show ad reviews and went to something and really enjoyed it. NOT THIS SHOW!!!!! It was the WORST show I%26#39;ve ever saw. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT waste your money on this TERRIBLE show. It was my stupidity to go. I will listen closer to reviews know. I wasted about 300.00 on 2 tickets. I%26#39;d rather throw it down the toilet rather than sit through this boriing show. STAY AWAY.
Criss Angel's Believe w/ Cirque Du Soleil
what in particular did you not enjoy about it?
the storyline? costumes? stunts? music?
some elaboration on your ';review'; would be more helpful to the forum.
Criss Angel's Believe w/ Cirque Du Soleil
The show is most likely terrible if the reviews are to be believed but a first time post such as a screaming rant like this is perhaps lacking a little credibility.
When did you actually see the show? It%26#39;s been dark for nearly two weeks now.
Not long ago. I%26#39;m sorry my Caos lock was stuck. If you think I lack credibility. go see it.
Well has anyone seen it that actually enjoyed it? I love Criss Angel and was thinking about booking this for our april trip, if anything to get to see criss... I would like to know too..

His whole performance was terrible. You could see how things were being done. Cirque was OK.
I haven%26#39;t seen the show but searches here on the forum are as bad as it gets.
We saw the show on November 3rd. It%26#39;s bad. When he first comes out as himself is good. The Cirque people are good. It%26#39;s the show itself that is bad. He has to act during the show and he can%26#39;t act at all. He%26#39;s like watching a junior high actor.
I liked it.
Here is the review I posted last month:
I attended the December 6 show and enjoyed it (my husband did too). I am not a die-hard Criss Angel fan (but watch Mindfreak) and I%26#39;m not a die-hard CDS fan (but I%26#39;ve seen Mystere, KA, O, and Zumanity). In my opinion, this show is a hybrid of both tastes. I admit the storyline is a little eccentric (the electrocution, what’s going on in Criss’s mind, etc.), and some elements when the story is explained during the show seems a little out of place, but I thought the transition from the Mindfreak introduction to the show’s content was done well. The illusions performed were intriguing and I didn’t see evidence of obvious open trap doors or a performer trying to pass off a stunt where cables were involved. There are cables used in the show, but like Mystere (for example), you see performers preparing cables for each other before performing (an example from Mystere is the Chinese poles act). There is a large bunny head that appears on stage (big, white bunny head with long ears) and shortly the audience discovers the bunny head is a performer and the bunny’s ears are the performer’s legs. The performer jumps to his feet (so the bunny head is “standing” on its ears) and performs a tap dance. It may sound odd, I know, but it goes with flow of the show. The illusions and stunts performed were entertaining and some perplexing; I don’t believe it was underdone or amateur. I thought the costumes were fantastic. The music in the show is very Criss Angel; rock. That’s his personality (the Mindfreak theme is rock and his persona portrays a rock element as well). The dancing is unusual, bold, and somewhat mysterious. Again, it’s not like other CDS performances but it fits the show. The theatre is beautiful. When I sat down and studied the stage it gives you a feeling of darkness, which is a perfect premise for the show. For example, there are large golden rabbit statues on the perimeter of the stage pulling Criss Angel’s head from a hat (a reversal of roles). The smoke (machines), the deep red exaggerated draped stage curtain, and the detail in the stage borders (chain links, serpents) also give a dark feel and set my expectations before the customary Cirque clowns began to entertain us. It is somewhat a dark show, and I believe that is the show’s intent – dark and mysterious. It’s the mystery that can capture audience members, and I believe Angel and Cirque have done just that.
If you%26#39;re looking for a show, my recommendation is not to dismiss this one, but consider it. Set your expectations when you sit down in the theatre, and enjoy the performance for what it is. I too contemplated returning my tickets (bought them in August for the December show) and I%26#39;m glad I didn%26#39;t. The show worked for me. If Zumanity is the sensual side of Cirque du Soleil, maybe Believe is a touch of the darker side.
thanks for re-posting that t-bonz325.
an in depth review including specifics like that is far more helpful to the forum than a blanket statement of ';this sucked';.
regardless of if you actually liked or disliked the show, the posts that are valuable to this forum and help make the forum a great resource are the ones that take the time to be specific and a little objective about the things they%26#39;re speaking about.
