I am trying to find a car rental place that is convenient to the Las Vegas Hilton. Dollar is on site but has no cars available for the time I need one. I would like to find one that is close enough to walk to, or take a bus, monorail or cheap cab ride to pick up and drop off the car.

Need help: car rental close to Las Vegas HiltonMost MGM properties have Dollar rental desks in them. Be advised though that most rental desks in hotels have very limited hours. Many are open only 9am-5pm and are closed for lunch. It may be the time you requested a car was outside the operating hours at The Hilton.
You could also try local rental agencies that are outside the airport and hotels. You may find some extended hours there but I%26#39;m not aware off hand of any real close to Hilton.
You could always take the monorail from Hilton to just about anywhere on the strip to retrieve a rental if you find one that works for you. It would be a $6 ride and a little bit of walking but nothing too bad.
Worse case scenario, take the monorail to MGM and a cab from there to the rental car center by the airport. Should cost you under $20 between the cab and monorail.
