Las vegas flights

Hi my holiday to las vegas has been booked for several months now- due to leave 31.5.09 from manchester with british midlands. just been told by Hays travel agent who we booked with that british midland are no longer flying from manchester, but they will know more in a bout 3 weeks.If this is the case they say we will get a full refund back, I am gutted, any one else heard anything ?

Yes, it was announced around the time of the news that Lufthansa would have a majority share in BMI - about end of Nov %26#39;08 time.

It was on the news in the UK and posts have been made to this forum about it.

thomas cook are the only people who fly direct to vegas now.

its a charter flight but if you upgrade to premuim economy the seats are 35%26#39; you get free drinks and a 30kg allowence, it is a 10 hour flight but you do still arrive around 12pm so there%26#39;s will be most of the rest of day to enjoy.

if your going with any another airline from manchester you will have to do this indirectly adding several more hour travelling and will arrive later in the evening.

oh and i don%26#39;t work for thomas cook,its just that i%26#39;ve booked the flight for June myself after weighing up all the option.

There are no flights from Manchester to Vegas with BMI in May 2009 so if I were you and you still want to go to Vegas I%26#39;d start thinking about alternate ways of getting there.

i cant understand why your travel agent is just informing you now when its been common knowledge since nov 08.i was also booked with bmi for the end of may 09 but got a full refund off expedia and booked with thomas cook in premium economy.

Theres nothing I can do untill they tell me weather or not there going to refund or send me to Gatwick and that wont be for another 4 weeks, so I dont have much option but to wait and see.

my travel agent did,nt inform me, I would not have known only I phoned them about our visa
