First time...what to do?

This is my first trip to Vegas. I will be traveling with my husband and a few friends. We are all in our early 40%26#39;s but still love to have a good time. We are staying at Harrahs and some at the Golden Nugget.

We will be in Vegas for five nights. I am having a difficult time sorting through all the info to decide on a few ';must dos';.

What show is a must?

What restaurant is a must....we like seafood AND steak?

What sites must be seen?

What bar is good for us?

Anything else?

Thanks so much for your input!

Bellagio Fountains. Its free and a must see.

Forum Shops, Ceasar Palace.

Eiffel Tower, Paris Hotel.

Just some sites to see. Enjoy your first time in Vegas.

A must see/do is something you%26#39;ve heard about in Vegas that YOU%26#39;VE always wanted to see or do. Some people will tell you that you MUST go Downtown (I would tell you that) and others will tell you not to bother.

I think going to the top of the Stratosphere at night and looking around is a must do. I think walking the Strip until your feet are killing you checking out all the casinos is a must do.

No show is a ';must';. What are you interested in seeing? Let us know and someone will tell you something in that catagory.

Thanks for the quick responses...

I would like to see Bette Midler%26#39;s show. Any tips on securing tickets? I also would love to see a Cirque show. Other than that I have no other needs/wants. Also friends are staying at the Nugget so we will be downtown for a day or two.

We love to gamble so that is on the list for sure.

I would really love a great dinner with great atmosphere and great food. Like I said we need both steak and seafood choices. I would prefer great pricing too but I am not opposed to paying for quality service and excellent food. Suggestions?

And we would really love to know of a geat bar that has cheap beers, great bar food, good music...and not a too young crowd. Ideas?

And any good ';free'; show (day and night) recommendations are really appreciated.

Thanks again!!!

I think the best way to get Bette tickets is to go directly through Caesars.

A lot of people recommend Triple 7 Brew Pub at Main Street Station (Downtown) for beer and good food.
