HELP!! NY NY, Flamingo, Imperial Palace

Hubby and I haven%26#39;t been to Vegas in 20 years. On a budget. Above rates reflect Expedia Coupon and opening of a credit card. (which equates to $100.00 off 3 night stay)

We are accustomed to Marriotts. Recently stayed at Marriott San Francisco Wharf and a Marriott Courtyard in Newark while visiting the Statue of Liberty. We aren%26#39;t fussy, but would like a clean comfortable room in a safe area. We are mid-fifties. Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

Of the three properties, I have not stayed at NY Ny but between the Flamingo and IP, there is no chioce IMO...the Flamingo even at a bit more.

Definitely Flamingo. They are all safe areas but Flamingo is the nicest and if a pool matters, they have the best of the three. If not, it is still the best.

For location I would say Flamingo. NYNY is nice, but the location is the killer. I have stayed at IP and it wasn%26#39;t bad at all, but then that was 12 years ago. We were among the first people to stay at NYNY and the room was smaller then small.

I have not stayed at Flamingo and have heard good and bad about the rooms. Just make sure if you do decide to stay at any of the properties and if you do not like your room, you need to tell them and get the room changed.

NYNY by a mile. Rooms are much better. The others are fine but for the price, I%26#39;d pick NYNY.

Definitely the Flamingo. I think NY NY is a fun casino and coming from the New York area I like the atmosphere but I don%26#39;t think I would enjoy a room in this very busy place. They even have a roller coaster running thru the property.

NYNY is way South on the strip, the rooms are small plus the bathroom is very small.

IP is ok with clean rooms %26amp; comfy beds but a little step down from the Flamingo.

Flamingo is a good place to stay, very clean rooms, very comfy beds, center of the strip so it makes it easy to get around in either direction of the strip. The best pool (4), a lot of fun with waterfall, you have Margaritaville there plus very nice property plus an adult pool. At check in you way want to check out about an upgrade to a GO room which has Hi Tech electronics in the room, very nice.

Flamingo for location.

NYNY. It%26#39;s not too far south on the strip. It%26#39;s across the street from MGM and joined by a footbridge. You can make it from your room to the back of MGM to it%26#39;s monorail station in about 15 minutes and from there you can get anywhere on the east side of the strip.

From NYNY you are also on the same side as Bellagio and Caeser%26#39;s. You can walk from NYNY to Caesar%26#39;s in about 15 minutes as well.

The casino is busy which can be good/bad. The sporrtsbook (if you care) is a joke but MGM is across the way. There are some fun bars in there though. (Nine Fine Irishmen, Piano Bar, ESPN Zone)

IP has NO advantage to either one of them. Flamingo has a more central location (and better) but I think NYNY is a far better property all around. Pools are irrelevant in late January by the way unless you%26#39;re a polar bear. (It%26#39;s 47 degrees in LV right now.)

I am a huge NYNY fan. I think it is the best value in Vegas. If there are only 2 of you in the room I don%26#39;t see the complaint on the rooms being small. From my experience the rooms are plenty big enough. And the biggest thing to me is the room and casino always feels clean!

I have not stayed at the Flamingo nor the IP so I can%26#39;t comment. But if it were me, NYNY all the way.

I would stay at The Flamingo over the other two. The Flamingo and NYNY are probably equals as far as actual hotels themselves are concerned. I have stayed at The Flamingo many times and like it there very much. Very friendly employees. Fun energetic vibe in the casino. Margaritavaille on premises. For me The Flamingo has the best location in Vegas. NYNY is too far south on the Strip.

I would not put IP in the same category with The Flamingo and NYNY.

If you do decide to choose The Flamingo, ask for a renovated Deluxe room.
