Restaurant suggestions -similar to Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

Whenever my hubby and I go to Vegas we always eat one meal at Wolfgang Puck Bar %26amp; Grill, Wolfgang Puck%26#39;s causual restaurant at the MGM grand.

We really enjoy the yummy food with reasonable prices. The Truffled Potato Chips with Maytag Blue Cheese is our favorite dish, we get it every time and it is always amazing.

As much as I love food, I don%26#39;t think I would enjoy any meal where the bill was $300.

This trip (in February) I would like to try a new restaurant to see if we can find another great restaurant that we love.

We love American food done well/creatively and have little experience with French food, but we are interested in trying it. We also like Japanese, seafood, steak, burgers, etc. Pretty much the only thing we do not want is BBQ or Mexican food (we live in Texas so it is never impressive to us elsewhere).

We are staying at the Venetian, but are renting a car so driving is not a problem. I%26#39;d like to stick to casino property restaurants.

We are fine with going for lunch instead of dinner to save money.

I am looking to spend around $55 per person plus tax and tip (no alcohol). We usually share an appetizer and order two entrees.

Thanks in advance your suggestions.

P.S. - I love places with prix-fixe menus if you have any suggestions in our price range.

Olives at Bellagio fits in that price range. Fix at Bellagio perhaps, Enoteca San Marco at Venetian. David Burke at Venetian had a $50 3 course special last time and it was wonderful, not sure if it%26#39;s still going but the food there is very creative modern American.

We really like Enoteca San Marco at The Venetian. It%26#39;s a Mario Battali restaurant. We%26#39;ve eaten there a few times.

If you are interested in trying Enoteca, the website www.restaurant.com is currently selling $25 certificates for only $4 if you use the code EXCLUSIVE at checkout. They are normally $10- the discount is being offered for a few days, but the certificate, which you print out yourself is good for 12 months from date of purchase.

Lulutoo - thank you so much for the heads up on buying the gift certificate for $4. We%26#39;re heading to Vegas first week in Feb. and I just printed out my coupon to Enoteca and Ocean One Bar %26amp; Grille.. both of them received the 60% discount and the process was very easy!

Thanks LuLutoo! I just printed my Enoteca certificate. :-)

Happy to help- we use restaurant.com certificates often here at home- you can use one a month in each restaurant and I keep my dates marked on the calendar to keep track.

I%26#39;ve never been to the Enoteca myself- please give us a review when you get back! We will be in LV the first week in February as well- but Downtown at teh Nugget.

By the way, my intro to restaurant.com came when a TA poster from Europe sent me a link as a gift a few years ago to say thanks for some information I gave her- I would not have known of it otherwise. I guess I should list that under that post asking for ';primo ideas from TA..';
