Palazzo/Venetian Hotel

We will be going in February and would like to stay at the Palazzo or Venetian. I have checked out their web sites and the rooms look almost identical. Which one would you suggest?

The rooms ARE almost identical.I love the Venetian though,think it%26#39;s better than Palazzo,more charming and the casino is more laid back and fun.Plus Palazzo is usually more expensive than Venetian.I would go with Venetian.

Palazzo/Venetian Hotel

Venetian is older, while Palazzo is newer. Having stayed at the Venezia side of Venetian as well as Palazzo, I would recommend Palazzo.

Venetian is darker and not as airy feeling compared to Palazzo; the color palatte in the casino is lighter in the Palazzo. Ceilings are very high even in rooms.

Palazzo rooms are also bigger by about a hundred square feet.

For high panoramic views you would probably pick Palazzo- at the 40+floors the view is AMAZING, especially during a sunny day. Even if it is not sunny; still fabulous.

Palazzo rooms are also expensive compared to Venetian; 20 dollars more. But you have to consider that it is a new expansion and property.

We%26#39;ve stayed at both the Palazzo and the Venetian Tower, and yes the rooms are almost identical. The Venetian Tower rooms have been recently redone to look like the P%26#39;s rooms. Venetian Tower rooms are slight smaller, but you wouldn%26#39;t know it unless you saw them side by side.

The Venezia Tower has not yet been remodeled. The Venezia Tower is also a longer walk to everything (except Bouchon and the Venezia Pool).

We thought the Venetian Tower was very centrally located to everything in the whole gigantic complex, and that%26#39;s where we would choose to stay again.

We%26#39;ve stayed at both the Venetian and the Palazzo. I pick Palazzo for two reasons.

1. it%26#39;s newer and just bit larger than the ventians rooms.

2. It doesn%26#39;t have that perfumy smell i can%26#39;t stand.

Besed on room alone, it%26#39;s not a big difference,but I prefer Palazzo- Palazzo rooms are about 100 sf bigger, newer, the TV%26#39;s are bigger,and all have the l shaped sofa bed. ALl but 2 floors are smoke free so there is no lingering smoke smell.

As far as casino, I also much prefer Palazzo as it%26#39;s newer, understated, spacious, and has smoke-free corridors and areas. It gets much less tourist traffic and it%26#39;s very easy to navigate, easy to find a seat at a machine you like or bar without waiting.

Venetain would be a better choice if you are a smoker, or enjoy a much more crowded casino and don%26#39;t mind the smell of perfume trying to cover the smoke smell, LOL

No matter which you pick, they are easy to get around and try them both out, it%26#39;s not really a right or wrong, just what you enjoy. Some people prefer loud/crowds/smoke/lines and some like a more relaxing and quiet time.

As others have said, the rooms are pretty similar. I think the difference comes down to the atmosphere of each hotel. The Palazzo is newer and the casino/main areas are more spacious and airy feeling, and less crowded, while the Venetian feels a little older and more crowded. However, the Palazzo came off a little bland to me, whereas the Venetian has more flair to it, even if it is the flair of gaudy opulence they go for. So do you prefer newer, less crowds, and a more toned-down atmosphere (Palazzo), or a little more lively and themed atmosphere (Venetian)?

I%26#39;ve stayed in both and they are very similar. Venetian has a warmer feel, in my opinion, where the Palazzo has a more modern vibe. Both rooms are gorgeous, please don%26#39;t get me wrong, but I prefer the original!

For me, the Venetian is perfect. Palazzo is a close runner up.

Can%26#39;t go wrong with either.

Have to agree about the smoking issue- many people smoke in the Venetian while in the Palazzo the air is much better. Better for yourself as you won%26#39;t get second hand smoke easily.

I would base your decision on the room and price. The casino, restaurants, pool, spa, etc. from both properties can be used regardless of which room you select. You can stay at the Palazzo and easily walk to the Venetian to play or dine.

Palazzo casino is much smaller than the Venetian, but there are smoke-free corridors throughout the Palazzo casino that make it less smokey.

And the signage is different too. The Venetian has a really giant but old looking font for its signs while Palazzo%26#39;s signs are not in that type of font.
