1) Has anyone ever requested that the mini-bar be removed from the room and they complied? Sorry I don%26#39;t trust the housekeeping people not to help themselves and I get charged.
2) What is the gym like at the Wynn?
3) Can you request a mini-refrigerator (to store drinks, etc)? If so, what is the charge? I%26#39;m probably staying in the least expensive room that they offer.

Questions about the Wynn
They will generally remove items from the mini bar at your request. I wouldn%26#39;t anticipate it being a rampant problem that the housekeep staff would steal your items, however they are good about removing items if you feel you have been charged in error (this happens a lot in places where they are weight sensitive - you investigate an item, put it back, and get charged!).
We had a mini fridge put in our room for my mother%26#39;s insulin at no charge. Can%26#39;t speak for the price of non-medical purposes.
They can%26#39;t remove the honor bar. It is an actual piece of furniture which also has the cable box attached to the rear. It is also a main part of the decor. Some hotels will empty the honor bar upon request but will usually charge a re-stocking fee. I%26#39;ve never heard of anyone doing this at Wynn. Do you really think anyone is going to risk thier job to steal a Coke?
The gym at Wynn is quite large and modern. I%26#39;ve never used it myself but walked by many times. It is part of the spa and on a seperate floor. You do realize that there is a daily charge for use, like at almost all LV hotels (probably around $30).
They do have a small fridge that can be brought up to the room. It%26#39;s too large to fit in the bathroom. There is a daily charge unless required for medication, I%26#39;m not sure of the amount.
The least expensive room (resort room) at Wynn is still fantastic. Your biggest decision should be Strip or Golf Course view. Have a great trip.

Is the fridge that big? Isn%26#39;t it just a cube?
I have meds and they MUST be washed down with either
bourbon or gin. Dr. Jack or Dr. Beefeater to be precise. The refrigerated meds always get stuck in
my throat.
1 - You will not have a problem being charged for mini bar items you didn%26#39;t use. FYI - any time housekeeping enters your room it is recorded.
2- Gym is the best on the strip. Extensive cardio and free weights (rare in hotel gyms), lots of room - very open. May want to bring your own headsets to take advantage of the TV%26#39;s on the cardio gear.
3- Yes and if you are storing medicine in it, they may not charge for it.
Worrying about the bar items in the fridge is an unnecessary worry. Even if someone did take the peanuts, you can always complain that YOU did not touch them. You can also access your account online each night via the tv screen. You can see what%26#39;s been charged to your room on a daily basis (ie. charge items to the gift shop, cafe, restaurants, etc - they%26#39;ll all show up on your TV account).
Plenty of rooms have these bar fridges now. It%26#39;s not a concern.
I have gotten a mini-fridge from the Wynn for medication and it was a teeny tiny fridge that was about the size of a can of soda. However, for a charge, they have a mini-fridge that is bigger. I think the charge was $5 per day.
We%26#39;ve stayed at Wynn 1/2 dozen times and never received anything other than the fridge that is about 3 feet tall. We only use it for medication and a few bottles of water, but it is large enough to keep left-overs. As mentioned it is too tall to be placed in the bathroom, and has to go in the room just past the closet on the other wall before the sofa. Although I recall having to slightly move the couch once to put it closer to the window (maybe that was our only stay on the strip side of the building). Maintenance will set this up for you.
Thanks. Posters .... for the input.
1. I just stayed at the Wynn last week. It did not appear that the honor bar could be removed. A word of caution, do not touch or remove anything from the bar unless you intend on keeping it. The Wynn monitors how long somehting has been removed from the bar, and if it is gone for more than 60 seconds, they charge you. My wife was looked at bottle of water and then put it back down. Apparently she held it for more than 60 seconds and our room was charged $8. That being said, when we advised them that we did not consume anything from the bar, they credited the $8 without question
2. I woke early one morning to work out, only to find that the cost to workout was $75 for a 3-day pass or $30/day. I cannot speak as to how nice the gym was, as I was unwilling to pay these prices. I assume it is very nice.
3. You can request a refrigerator, though there is a significant daily charge. I cannot remember the exact amount, as once again, upon hearing the amount we decided against it.
4. Be warned that unless you are very wealthy, the Wynn can be a frustrating place to stay. I could not afford to stay there even on an expense account.
