It was a beautiful drive from LA to Vegas on Friday morning, no traffic, and 20 degrees cooler in Vegas - great temps there! We arrive at Bellagio by noon and eagerly check in, our first stay here, and free to boot. The room is in the main tower with a pool view, no fountain view available. It%26#39;s all great, until - the sink starts making a LOUD gurgling noise. Luckily it started that right away! Unluckily we had JUST unpacked. Maintenance came to investigate quickly, and couldn%26#39;t promise it would go away, so my husband headed off to registration to exchange room keys. Whoo hoo, fountain view, in the Spa tower. Room pretty much identical except for the double sink, but I loved the view - ended up watching the fountains MANY times. Oh, and playing with the electronic curtain-opener.

We check in for the slot tournament, and it%26#39;s very well organized. Choose $100 free play as a gift. Then off for a walk and some gambling. Dinner at Ellis Island, then to the Wynn to sign up for their card. Deal is still $10 freeplay if you give them an email address, then earn 25 points and spin to win a prize. My husband got the 2 free buffets, I got $10 more freeplay. Note, you have to use the buffets within 24 hours, but we could have waited to have them put on the card, as we wanted to use them for dinner Saturday. We lost quickly at craps then had fun at Pai Gow Poker (PGP), my main game.

Saturday we walked down to MGM, I had some freeplay there as it%26#39;s my birthday month. What had been our favorite hotel now looked dark, we are Bellagio fans now! We grabbed room snacks at Walgreens on our way back. (We also brought apples and nuts for the room, we don%26#39;t usually eat out more than once a day). Our first slot tournament time was at 3 pm, it was then we discovered the great setup for players - bar with decent drink choices, coffee/tea, desserts, food buffet on the patio with several choices, and ice cream!
%26lt;p%26gt;
Then it was off to the Wynn for the buffet. Note also, a free buffet means you can use the red card/invited guest line, you don%26#39;t need a line pass. More PGP here, more at Bellagio, suddenly it%26#39;s 2 am...

Sunday am, knowing about the slot tourny room, we head there for a quick breakfast at 11 am although our first session is at 1 pm. Good thing for the patio at the tournament or I never would have made it outside that day! We just ate the free food today, it was plentiful. More PGP between sessions, then the 4 pm final session, where I had the highest score. Our first two rounds were medium to low so we didn%26#39;t expect much. We both won at craps that evening, yay!
%26lt;p%26gt;At the award ceremony, we were seated next to the 4th place winner and in front of the 2nd place winner. Lucky them! As it turns out we were somewhere between 100-200th place as we won $200 free play. We didn%26#39;t win anything in the drawings, and were impressed with how they handled a fubar with slow computers delaying the final drawing (tickets based on slot play), it went off only 30 minutes late.
%26lt;p%26gt;We had a great time, my last trip was a slot tournament at the Mirage in December which was an unorganized joke compared to this one. I hope we continue to get these Bellagio offers, although I%26#39;d love to receive one from the Wynn too...
TR Jan 16-19 Bellagio Slot Tournament
Is there any catch or minimum play required for the Wynn? Or is it that simple, just sign up for their card and get $10 freeplay and a spin on the wheel?
We generally only play at HET and MGM/Mirage properties, but I wouldn%26#39;t mind making a stop at the Wynn for $10 freeplay and a shot at a free buffet. I might actually play a bill at the blackjack tables (we never gamble at the Wynn) if that%26#39;s what they offer to new members.
