Which ones are a must see/visit?
excursions when in Vegas?
I am not sure if this is a ';must see'; or not but we just booked the paddlewheel boat tour on Lake Mead for our trip. It is very inexpensive compared to a lot of the other things you can do in Vegas and we think it will be kinda fun to see the Hoover Dam from the water as well as hear about the local history. It is only a few hours one day so I say ';what%26#39;s the harm.'; You can find the link at:

Have fun! Vacations are way too short!
excursions when in Vegas?
If you have never seen the Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam, I would totally recommend a trip out there if you have the time. I went through this tour company and we had a blast!

Also, for some in Vegas sights, one of my favorite things everytime we go to Vegas is go to the top of Effiel Tower at the Paris Hotel at night. Also Stratosphere is a good view also. They are both about $15 per person, but I signed up for a Player Club Card with Paris in the casino and they gave me free admission to the Paris tower....worth checking out!
Either way, have fun!
Definitely rent a car for the day and go to Hoover Dam/Lake Mead/ Valley of Fire. To me that is a must see visit if you want to take a break from the strip. Do not take a tour. You want to be on your own schedule.
Valley Of Fire is simply spectacular. The sandstone formations are stunning. You can just drive from formation to formation but it is best to hike on some of the short trails. Just bring water and closed shoes. You will not regret it. You can also bring food and have a picnic there.

Many people combine it with Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. I have taken the Lake Mead Cruise quite a few times-although I never took a cruise with meals. I find it relaxing and informative.
You can do all three in one day (or less).
Another favorite spot is Red Rock Canyon- less than 1/2 an hour away from the strip. But it is not nearly as stunning as VOF.
If you are talking about things on the strip
Bellagio conservatory and fountains (at night).
Forum Shops at Caesares Palace- both a mall and an attraction.
Eiffel Tower at Paris.
Canals and ceilings of the Venetian (not necessarily a gondola ride).
This is helpful!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
