Italian Restaurant ??? Leaving on Satuday!! Yeah!

Hello all - my husband and I are taking our nephew to Vegas for his first time for his 21st birthday (along with my sister and her husband who are his mom and dad). He is a culinary art student and asked us all to take him to an Italian Restaurant while there. Unfortunately, Italian is not any of our favorites so could absolutely use your help with suggestions. We are taking him to Craft - for his ';steakhouse'; selection.

Any advise would be appreciated! 4 more days!!!

While it%26#39;s not exclusive to Vegas, Maggianos Little Italy is excellent. There are quite a few locations around the country and the Vegas one is inside the Fashion Show Mall. They offer family style as well as single entrees.

You will find many posts for Casa Di Amor Italian restaurant. Complimentary limo service, resonable priced food. Do a search, and you will get all the info you%26#39;ll need.

We thought Canaletto at the Venetian was good and being in the Canal shops area - kind of fun - eat in the %26#39;outdoor%26#39; area and enjoy people watching and the strolling musicians.

For an authentic Italian dining experience, as opposed to the Italian-American style you can find anywhere, I highly recommend Enoteca San Marco at Venetian. For a delightful shared appetizer, try the gourmet cheese plate.

Penazzi at Harrah%26#39;s. Tell your server you have a CA student in the party and ask if the owner /chef is in house- if he is, I%26#39;ll bet he%26#39;ll visit your table - he likes to chat with customers.

I heartily second Penazzi%26#39;s. The food was excellent and the room and service were sublime.

IMO the best Italian, and may be place to eat is Bartolotta at thw Wynn. Simply amazing food and service. Unlike many chefs here and at other places, Chef Bartolotta is in his kitchen everyday. Your nephew will really enjoy this experience.

Il Fornaio at New York, New York is great! Reasonably priced for the strip, New York Italian neigbourhood atmoshere and the food is really good.

Enjoyed the one at NYNY also Grotto at the Golden Nugget if you are in the Fremont St. area.
