las vegas must sees & places to stay

Hi Ta guys

We are visiting Las Vegas end of August, beginning Sept for a few days. Would like some advice for LV%26#39;s unmissables %26amp; also good value places to stay. We are a family of 2 adults %26amp; 2 teens (boy 13, girl 17) %26amp; we will need 3 beds tho don%26#39;t mind sharing a room. We know prices hike up at weekends %26amp; can avoid these if necessary. Very interested in Cirque Du Soleil %26amp; threads seem to favour Mystere over the others. Is it best to get tickets online? Or to call up?

We are starting off in San Francisco %26amp; will post similar questions in CA forum. Any advice on what to see whilst driving from SFO to LV greatly appreciated.
