Monte Carlo - Good Rates?

I have just booked the Monte Carlo, got a really good deal, it is only there deluxe room (see how much I can save between now and April and I may upgrade when I get there if there is any available) - $536 for 10 nights! I used a promo code and booked direct with the hotel and I am able to cancel up to 48 hours prior.

Does anyone disagree and think this was a bad deal?

I have read some mixed reviews and I am a bit worried.

Has anyone been to Monte Carlo lately? If so what are the rooms like? and do the bathrooms have a bath big enough to fit in? Is the noise bad?

Many Thanks in advance

Monte Carlo - Good Rates?

MC is a decent hotel. $536 for 10 nights sounds like a very good deal to me. Under $54 a night including weekends is nice.

Personally I don%26#39;t care much for MC. I would stay there if the room was comped or at a very good rate like the one you received. The rooms are nice and the property clean, but I just can%26#39;t get into the vibe of the casino. Too dull and boring.

Monte Carlo - Good Rates?

Thanks, as its my first trip to vegas I really dont know what to expect, but I doubt I will spend much time in the room anyways. I can cancel it a better deal comes up. Do you happen to know if there is any deals for Planet Hollywood right now or if there wil be any soon?

Just a suggestion, but you might consider splitting your trip up and spend some nights at another property, just to check that out too. There can be such a different ';vibe'; or ';culture'; at each property.

There are deals abound out there as you get closer to your travel dates. Keep an eye out - maybe you can splurge and spend a few nights somewhere very fancy that normally would be out of budget but due to the economic situation it is now affordable. Or maybe spend a few nights downtown for a different feel. Or at one of the off strip properties you can get for $25 a night for a really nice room. Just thinking out loud. . .

You may want to check out www.planethollywoodresort.com or www.fatwallet.com for PH promos.

Friends of mine stayed there 2 weeks ago, They said they really enjoyed the hotel and had no issues at all...Cheers !!!

Usually include Monte Carlo as a 2 night stay during our week stays. Why? Because we enjoy the laid back atmosphere in the Casino, and nice rooms. We have stayed at MC at least once during the Year, every year for the last several. (last visit October 2008)

Construction noise has never been a problem, havent noticed or been disrupted in the least! Standard rooms are adequate, clean, so are bathrooms.

If You can upgrade to the Monaco Suite for a little more money, do so, its so worth it. Those Monaco Suites are very modern, and very generous in size and amenties.

Enjoy your stay, reasonable places to eat at MC, good location, not crowded like some of the other casinos that draw in alot of non-hotel guests that are just sight-seeing.

You got a fantastic deal!

Thanks all for your replies!

I loved staying at the Monte Carlo. Very beautiful and elegant. Casino is not noisy or flashy, but it is comfortable to be in. Seems like a lot of older people stay there and not the young adults...not like Hooters, Mandalay Bay,or properties like those.

I am in my mid forties and I do enjoy some peaceful comfort, so this is a nice retreat for me. lol

I usually get the promo rate like you did. Around $55 a night. Even received a 3 night free stay if I could have made it to Vegas in Jan. They offer lots of promos after you stayed there. Haven%26#39;t been to the Monte Carlo since 2004 and I am still getting these offers today. Good rates and their bathrooms are big enough, so you won%26#39;t be disappointe. Awesome pool area too if it%26#39;s warm enough.

1stewart20 - Thanks for your reply

What are the baths like? My mother in law has been to Monte Carlo about 2 years ago and she said they were tiny

What are your thoughts?

Standard rooms at Mirage, NYNY and Monte Carlo (best I can remember) are all about the same smaller size. If you want a much larger bathroom, try TI petite suite, Caesars Palace (Augustus or Palace Towers), Flamingo Go Room, MGM Grand Bungalow Suite, and Palazzo.
