Flamingo Go Room or Mirage?

Hi everyone. I am planning on a trip the first week of April with the family. We will have 2 18 year olds with us (My son has been to Vegas 3 other times) and I am wondering which hotel would be better. I have stayed at the Luxor, Excalibur and Flamingo before. I had actually booked the Flaming Go Rooms and then found a cheaper rate at the Mirage this weekend. Any thoughts from anyone who has recently stayed at either one? Also (stupid question) but does anyone know where the nearest Mconalds is to either location? Hubby likes to get up at like 5:00 am and read the paper, etc...Doesn%26#39;t want to go to the buffet alone. Thanks!

Flamingo Go Room or Mirage?

There is a McDonalds just after Harrah%26#39;s on the same side as the Flamingo. It%26#39;s across the street from the Mirage.

Flamingo Go Room or Mirage?

I have stayed at Flamingo, but haven%26#39;t stayed at Mirage. I would choose Mirage, I just think it%26#39;s a better hotel.

I would do Mirage, especially if it%26#39;s cheaper. The rooms have recently been renovated, and it%26#39;s a nicer overall property than Flamingo.

I love the Flamingo! I have been four years straight and just booked our April vacation. Location is fantastic and if you can get a Go room with a strip view that is the way to go. I personlly like the gaming floor it%26#39;s fun the dealers are awesome. It is not confusing nor high limts. The food is a little weak but there are so many places to eat in Vegas you don%26#39;t have to eat here. However room service is always good. We do a breakfast here and there and late night snacks...always good. I%26#39;m a diamond member at Harrahs and can stay at any HET property comped and I choose the Flamingo hands down. We stayed at Paris for a week last year and hated the Paris. While the food is better the gaming floor stinks...high lmits, boring slots...not our type of place. The working girls at the bar were a trip to watch LOL...

Wherever you choose have a great time!

I%26#39;ve stayed at both places and Mirage is a much nicer place (even with the GO rooms). If Mirage is cheaper, it would be an easy choice for me. Enjoy the Mirage!

Mirage is more of a resort than the flamingo with better choices of buffet, restaurants, spa/fitnees center, lounges/bars, dolphin exhibit, Beatles show called ';Love';, good pool area, volacano out front(which was just renovated), and is close to the Fashion Show Mall. The guest rooms at Mirage are newley renovated. There is a coffee cafe and a cofee shop located inside the Mirage for your husband.

IMO, Flamingo has a good pool area, nice Go Rooms, but not much else going for it compared to Mirage.

I stayed at the Mirage and the rooms are very nice. The bathrooms are on the small side, all rooms to my knowledge are renovated.

McDonald%26#39;s located next to Harrahs almost directly across the street. When in Vegas I always have breakfast at McDonalds too ;)

Monorial stop at Harrahs directly across the street.

I just stayed in a new room at the Mirage in December and the room was very nice. Yes I had a small issue with the bathroom, but I would not take that as a negative for the entire place. The location is great and the pool area is very nice.

The Go Rooms at Flamingo are older then the new rooms at Mirage.

McDs is directly across the street next from Mirage next to Harrahs.

Flamingo would be a great choice, lot better pool than Mirage 4 pools with waterfalls, Margaritaville, The wildlife Habitat. The Go Rooms has a bigger bathroom than Mirage. You have Hi Tech electronics in the room like top of the line sound system, iPod docking station, CD/DVD player, wireless connections, %26amp; large 42'; TV %26amp; friendly staff. It%26#39;s centrally located on the strip being in the center so it makes it easy to get around in either direction.

I just got back from Las Vegas and stayed at the Flamingo in their Go Room with a Strip View. I like the GO rooms because they have the LCD TV built into the bathroom mirror, so I can watch the news while I wash and shave. As someone mentioned they also have the HD LCD TV and DVD/CD player which is nice if you bring your own movies/cds. Their Paradise Garden buffet sucks. Go the Paris Hotel%26#39;s, Le Village buffet, instead (Good Crepes, Mussels, cheese, and other Americanized french food).

There is more action around the Flamingo Hotel (good and bad). Next store are some of the dive casinos like Bill%26#39;s and O%26#39;Sheas. Although I must say the cover band at O%26#39;Sheas (Reality 101) was really good, one of the few times I stopped in and caught a few of their sets.
