One of the neatest thing about Vegas is that it%26#39;s always in development...everyone I go, something major has changed!
We haven%26#39;t been to Vegas since 2006. We%26#39;ll be returning to the city in June 2009, so it%26#39;ll have been three years. What major changes will I notice in June? Just curious :)
How much has changed?
Properties that will be new to you are Venetian%26#39;s Palazzo and Wynn%26#39;s Encore (opened this week). Signature at MGM has also opened since 06 but you%26#39;ll have to search that out at the rear of MGM Grand. Caesars new Octavius Tower will be close to opening next summer. Stardust and New Frontier are no more - both have been imploded since your last trip. Off-Strip Palms Place has appeared next to the Palms.
The most obvious thing you%26#39;ll proabably notice is the construction of the huge CityCenter project between Bellagio and Monte Carlo.

Sorry about the double post! Damn technology gets the better of me sometimes...... :-)
Wow, more than I had expected! Cool - thanks for the update :)
im glad to see this post i havent been there since feb of 2005 JUST missed Wynn opening by a few weeks or so!!! so ill be happy to FINALLY see more then the outside of it along with these other new hotels. I never saw PLanet Hollywood either im eager to see how much has changed from the old Aladdin.
Themes are no longer what the casinos want to project. There seem to be more clubs aimed at the 20s crowd. The strip is still fun to walk but the City Center is an eye sore right now since construction has slowed. There are cranes everywhere and it looks bad next to the Bellagio which is entirely different architecture. We%26#39;ve seen all the Cirque du Soleil shows, Elton, Celine, Le Reve etc and are waiting. for more.
This is a good resource of information;

Trump is also new as it opened last year.
Aladdin has been changed to PH in 07.
Off-Strip, Aliante Station just opened early last month.
Just reurned from Vegas, I too had not been since 2006. I can confirm the same as all other posters. Since you didn%26#39;t see what your favorite activities include I will advise you for the older viewpoint. I walked into the Luxor from Mandalay Bay and didn%26#39;t know where I was, the interior has completely changed, I noticed that the newer Vegas seems to want to revamp the first thing you see when you enter. Sleek lounges, resturants and famous chefs or chef%26#39;s to be.
Entering the Mirage, (remember where the tigers were shown), now is a night spot, a resturant, and the moving walkway gone with a deli at the end of the entrance.... minutes before you even know you are in a casino.
Also there seems to be coffee bars everywhere and pastry that is very pricey.
But some things never change, traffic, the pamphlet people, and timeshare people asking ';Where are you from and how long are you staying.';
I haven%26#39;t been to vegas since april 2001. I was seventeen then. I%26#39;m trying to go in the third week of march. Anybody else going in march?
