I%26#39;m coming to LV airport in Feb and March for separate photo workshops in Death Valley and Zion/Bryce and on both trips I will spend a couple of days in LV afterwards. I%26#39;m 67 and will be traveling alone (the wife will pass because she doesn%26#39;t like the 5:00 AM sunrise shots), but I enjoy great food, especially if it is unpretentious--- no jackets. The last few times we%26#39;ve been to LV we%26#39;ve stayed at the Venetian and ate at Bouchard (sp?), David Burke and Tao and thoroughly enjoyed them. We also ate at Wolfgang%26#39;s place on the 2nd floor and didn%26#39;t like it. I don%26#39;t want to leave the hotel to go to an out-of-the-hotel restaurant.It%26#39;s been years since I%26#39;ve been to Caesars and I was thinking about Guy Savoy, Mesa or others there. I%26#39;d also consider on of Wynn%26#39;s or other hotels. I%26#39;d appreciate any suggestions. Are the prices at the upper end restaurants about the same or are some much more expensive than others? I prefer continental and/or seafood and not steaks, Middle Eastern, Indian or heavy Chinese or Japenese-type food.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions for a hotel with good restaurants.

Best hotel with good restaurants???Caesars has a number of good restaurants. I was also impressed with the restaurants in Paris.
Best hotel with good restaurants???we enjoy the same places at The V - FYI - it%26#39;s Bouchon - do not like Postrio either, lacking, especially for the price.
since you don%26#39;t want to leave the property I would suggest Wynn/Encore and dine at Alex (one of top choices) Daniel B and Tableau for breakfast.
We like Guy Savoy, do not like Caesar%26#39;s so go to GS from other properties.
For your needs Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo.
One of our fav properties is Four Season%26#39;s - since you want to stay in-house for dining and we LOVE Alex that would sway our decision.
Bellagio and Mandalay Bat have quite a few good restaurants also.
**Mandalay Bay
I think Caesars and MGM have some good choices.
Have you checked the prices at Guy Savoy? Photography must pay pretty well :)
Caesar%26#39;s has some good restaurants, especially if you include the Forum shops. Mesa Grill and Bradley Ogden are fantastic right inside the hotel (I had a very underwhelming experience at Rao%26#39;s, so would avoid that one). Boa (though it%26#39;s a modern steakhouse, I don%26#39;t eat steak and absolutely love their Ceasar Salad, their crab cake, their truffle mac %26#39;n cheese, etc.) is in the newer portion of the Forum Shops, while Spago%26#39;s is the one Wolfgang Puck restaurant I enjoy and is located close to the casino side of the Forum Shops.
Bellagio has some excellent choices as well, but I could eat at Olives multiple times. :) The Patisserie is better than the one at Caesar%26#39;s by far, so if dessert is your thing then I would definitely pick Bellagio.
Thanks!
I%26#39;d appreciate any more comments. I%26#39;m a member of Zagat and I%26#39;ve checked it out and, yes, Guy Savoy and Alex and Roubuchon (sp) at the MGM are pricey.
FWIW I%26#39;m not a photographer by profession, but I am an amateur photographer and enjoy making photos and going to the various workshops, especially in the western US.

Caesars has so many excellent choices in where to eat. It%26#39;s a great place to stay, very luxurious, friendly staff. www.harrahs.com on top click on LV then Hotel website then dining then restaurant then menu to see if it meets your criteria for a good meal
Wynn is another good choice with a lot of good places to eat %26amp; very friendly staff. www.wynnlasvegas.com
