1st time to Vegas... which hotel?

We are both in ourearly thirties and going to Las vegas with my husband for the first time at the end of april. Have currently booked a Junior suite at the Mgm Signature but am now wondering weather to switch to a suite in the Venetian instead?

Dont mind walking, but dont want to miss out on any of the ';action '; either. Wondering if any of you out there can help with any ideas or suggestions?

What action are you thinking about? Every hotel has casinos, bars, clubs. You just need to decide which ones you want to visit. Whether you stayanywhere from Mandalay Bay to Encore, you can get to any of the action fairly easily either by foot or taxi.

you can%26#39;t go wrong with either. i%26#39;d pick the cheapest.

Signature will not near %26#39;the action.%26#39; A hefty walk to the strip from Sig. Venetian is more feasible if you want to be in the thick of it but it%26#39;s also located at the northern edge of the strip (well at least the nice stuff that is).

If those are the places in your price range why not look into the Bellagio? I have experience with all 3 and while I had a bad experience at the Bellagio and will not go back, the location is far superior to either the Venetian or Signature.

Celticbabe, Stick with the Signature, you won%26#39;t be disappointed, there%26#39;s plenty of ';action'; in and around the MGM.

With the Sig you ahve some nice options. If you want to swim, you have your own pool with each tower. You can also use MGM%26#39;s pool, one of the best in Vegas. Then you can empty into the MGM to be part of the action. The monorail also starts close to where you enter the studiowalk in MGM to take you down the strip.

Venetian is a very nice hotel with the Canal shops right there. If you want to be IN the action, all you have to do is empty out of the elevator and you%26#39;re there.

First time? I%26#39;d go with Venetian.

Sig too far. Go with B or Palazzo/Venetian in you want to be in the ';thick of it';.

I would go with the Venetian or Palazzo.....the Fashion Show Mall is right across the street also (if you like to shop :)).....and the canal shops at the Venetian are great to see also...(shops, restaurants, gondolas floating by...) The place is beautiful to see.

If you want center strip.....go with the Bellagio and get a strip/fountain view room if possible.

You might consider both.

You don%26#39;t say how many nights you are staying, but many people split their trip amongst 2 hotels. If your trip is long enough, it may be worth it. This will give you a chance to explore both the south and north areas of the Strip, and have two different experiences.

Stayed at the Signature last year and I LOVED it. It is such a nice hotel. We like to stop back in at our room a few times a day just to take a little rest and drop off any shopping bags etc. Although the walk through the MGM to the Signature really isn%26#39;t all that far, it gets a bit tedious when you do it a few times a day. So even though the Signature is wonderful and I would highly recommend it, I probably would choose the Venetian simply for location. Because you probably won%26#39;t be spending that much time in your room anyways.

Great choice with Signature! The rooms are absoluetly gorgeous, and if you%26#39;re on the 18th floor or above you%26#39;ll get a great view of the strip with a balcony! Plus they%26#39;re pretty spacious and the queen sized bed in the couch is a nice addition in the event you bring along some unexpected guests or something.

As one of the previous posters stated, there is PLENTY of action at MGM -- it%26#39;s HUGE and there is definitely something for everyone; from access to an arcade for kids, the pool, KA (Cirque show), and the legendary Studio 54.

My favorite place to sit and relax is Centrifuge -- the way it%26#39;s set up is gorgeous, and I always have a blast...
