El Cortez Steakhouse reviews- worth 25 of bill?

Just wondering if eating here would be worth it with the ACG coupon of 25 off bill. Whats the prices and would it be better to go to 2 for one buffets downtown. Staying at Golden Nugget and will be hitting buffets anyway. Going with 21 year old son and I, his dad. Thanks.

I have never eaten at the El Cortez, but the steakhouse gets great reviews on here. You can look at the menu here: elcortezhotelcasino.com/ec_restaurants/index…

I personally don%26#39;t like to spend a lot on food while in Las Vegas, so we usually try to go where ever I have a coupon. My favorite buffet downtown is Main Street Station and I will go there even without a coupon.

Thanks for the site. Yes same goes for me. I just am going over the coupons and the deals and trying to narrow it down. Trying to get the best for my buck so more for gambling and drinking. My sons first time in Vegas and being 21. Thanks again.

Hi Bosoxfan,

If you have an ACG, you will not want to miss Robertas which is now Flame. Their prime rib is %26lt;$20 Their Filet and Lobster is %26lt;$50. Both are excellent.

You need to know that every side, soup, and salad is extra. When we had our Christmas M%26amp;G there, we each used our 50% off. Example, an 18 oz Prime Rib with a large Baked Potato, and a fresh greens salad ran $30 before coupon. This was the second time the forum had a mini M%26amp;G there. We were all very pleased.

Pick up your Fremont Street Experience coupon sheets at the Oxygen booth in front of Golden Nugget and use it for 2-4-1 buffets at Fremont Paradise Garden Buffet and Main Street Station Garden Court Buffet . I highly suggest using your coupons at the Champagne Brunches and steak dinner nights (more bang for your buck.)

If you want an excellent steak you won%26#39;t be disappointed at Roberta%26#39;s--now the Flame--at least that has been my experience. Last year when I stopped there, I had the prime rib which was very good--plan to eat there on my next visit. I did go to the Main Street Station steak night buffet last week. The T-bone was very good.

The sides are large enough to split. Get an entree each and slplit a couple of sides. Cocktails and wine are inexpensive also. IMO

The side of creamed corn was large enough for five or six people! For three of you, you would each have a very large serving of this with one order. And wonderful taste! I also had the Chicago Garbage Salad, which was an experience in itself. Lots of good things in this salad... very unique. I had the prime rib on one visit, the filet mignon the second. Cost both times, with coupon, was just over $20 for my meal, including 18% tip. This meal is NOT like food at an ordinary cafe. This is a quality meal, that you and your husband and son will remember, and ... you%26#39;ll return again, and again.

Ohhh, and I forgot to mention, your choice of potato or rice does come with the entree.

Sheila , thanks for the rice/potato correction. That makes it even better. I thought it included the potato, but when I looked at the menu it didn%26#39;t specify.

Do they have a certain dress code for the Flame or is casual ok?

TIA

Casual%26#39;s fine- there were people there in shorts last summer- they did ask one guy to remove his baseball cap...Some folks do dress up more than that but slacks and jeans seem to be the norm.

We had thePrime Rib and it was delicious and gigantic. I loved their bread basket too- they had two varieties- one of ours had cranberries and the server told us they vary the selections. There was a starch included and the baked potato was enormous.
