Agree with the above poster, do your homework and price checking before you fly in. Lots of amazing deals in Vegas right now, everything from 4 dollar rooms downtown to 30 dollar rooms on the strip. No reason to leave things up to the last minute and chance, in fact quite often the hotels will raise last minute bookings knowing that the guests are desperate for a place to lay their heads for the night.

Never arrive in Vegas without a hotel reservation. It%26#39;s a recipe for paying a lot more for a room and potentially wasting lots of time looking for one.

No need to prepay. Book direct with a hotel. Lots of good deals to be found.

BOOK AHEAD OF TIME. There%26#39;s lots of deals out there right now. I was caught for 1 night without a room on my first trip, a Saturday night. Every place was booked! After spending 2-3 hours on the phone, we gave up trying to find a hotel and slept in the car in one of the parkades (only after Mirage security kicked us out of the sportsbook for sleeping there at 5am!). We did have reservations for the next night but we couldn%26#39;t check-in until around 1pm.
