Which side of plane

We are flying in to Vegas from Los Angeles. Which side of the plane will we get a good view from?

Which side of plane

It seems most flight circle around and line up to approach from the east. Which means the right side affords the better view. However, it is not a spectacular view. The runway is lined up with the Strip being almost directly in front of it. The spectacular view would be from the cockpit, looking forward. Sitting on the right side, you need to look more forward than to the side. But, it is still neat, especially at night. Of course, all of this is subject to airport traffic, weather, and the runway construction that is going on at McCarran.

Which side of plane

we flew from burbank into vegas last month - it does depend on the flight path but for what its worth we were sat on the right hand side and couldn%26#39;t see anything flying in however flying out (to NYC though) we were again on the right and had the best view of the strip for ages as it circled over...

I was a bit startled when I flew in from the east (Columbus,Ohio) in December. Usually we would come in over Lake Mead and see the city from the right side of the plane. This time though we came in to the north of the city and all of a sudden there was the Stratosphere! It felt like we ';buzzed the buildings'; before we landed!! They have changed around the runways...so it is hard to say which way you will land!

I always pick the left side of the plane. I like seeing the Hoover Dam and Bypass Bridge Construction on the way in.

There is construction going on at McCarren (there were several posts on this topic back in early December, so a search will be better than my recollection), and there is a runway closed right now.

We have also come south along the strip (actually right over Koval) when we%26#39;ve landed the last 2 trips which was also new for us since we usually fly in over Lake Mead and follow Flamingo to land.

At any rate and to answer your question...I always sit in the right (facing the front of the plane) and have a great view, but we are coming in from the east rather than west.

ok I will say it ...THE INSIDE..LOL no probably the left side..we usually sit there...Slotto

When coming from NYC, we were on the right side of the plane. On approach, we did turn around to land.
