What would you recommend. Hotel or Self-Catering travelling with children we would like a swimming pool.

Wouldn%26#39;t it be easier to have self catering with children rather than having to eat in restaurants 3 x a day?

There is the Signature at the MGM and there are also two Hilton Grand Vacation Club. I%26#39;d recommend the Signature or the HGVC that is behind the Flamingo.

if you would prefer a hotel over a self catering, then I would recommend the MGM or the Excalibur for people with children. Off strip, the Orleans is good and south strip South Point caters to families.

You can try the search function here.......type in Sig or the Signature at MGM and HGVC or Hilton Grand Vacation Clubs. You can also find information on them via Google. I would help you more but at the moment I%26#39;m a little pressed for time. I%26#39;m sure you can find them fine anyway. Good luck and ask if you have any more questions.

If it is hotels you want to look for......MGM, Orleans, Excalibur.

We stayed at the Desert Rose Resort last year. I believe they have 1 and 2 bedroom units - we stayed in a one bedroom. There was a continental breakfast included, and it was nice to be able to cook some of our own meals.

The desert Rose, sounds perfect for us too. our kids are to young to have a room on their own yet.

Are you renting a car? That might make a difference on where you would want to stay.

That said, depending on where you stay if you do not rent a car and still want to cook in your room you maybe could get groceries delivered. I used www.safeway.com and it went really well. I just placed my order for my groceries online before I left for Vegas and they were delivered on time and everything I ordered had arrived. They just billed my credit card.

I know the Desert Rose property gets very good marks here. Check out their website - they all have full kitchens, so it%26#39;s similar to a self-catering. Five minutes%26#39; walk from the strip, has trees and is not a huge mega-hotel.

If you are considering the Desert Rose, you might want to watch prices on websites such as expedia. We booked through expedia and payed much less than half of what they were charging on the Desert Rose website. We booked relatively early though, and prices on expedia did go up closer to our travel date.
